Project : In the heart of the village of Cercoux, take part in a creative and friendly international workcamp at the local school! Alongside volunteers from all over the world, you will help transform the school walls by creating a large colorful mural together with the children.
The mural will have been designed beforehand with the organizing team around the values promoted by the association: environmental awareness, living together, solidarity and interculturality. Created especially for children, it will feature a colorful, playful and accessible universe adapted to a young audience.
This project will be an opportunity to share meaningful moments with local residents and children while taking part in a collective experience full of cultural exchange, creativity and new discoveries.
Work : Volunteers will take part in the different stages of creating the school mural. The workcamp will begin with the preparation of the surfaces: cleaning the walls, protecting the surrounding areas and applying the first coats of paint if needed.
The group will then participate in painting the mural by following the design prepared beforehand with the local team. Some parts of the project may be carried out together with the school children through supervised and adapted participation activities.
No specific artistic skills are required: motivation, willingness to take part in a collective project and creativity will be the main qualities needed to join this colorful and human adventure!
Accommodations and food : Volunteers will be accommodated in a small house located just a few minutes’ walk from the school in Cercoux. The accommodation includes all the necessary facilities: a kitchen, bathroom, toilets and shared living spaces. Participants will sleep in a collective bedroom, encouraging group life and intercultural exchanges.
For those who wish, it will also be possible to sleep in tents in the small outdoor courtyard of the accommodation.
Food will be provided for breakfasts, lunches and dinners. A food budget will be managed by the workcamp leaders. Meals will be prepared in turns by participants and international volunteers in a friendly and collective atmosphere, while respecting the association’s environmental values, local resources and everyone’s eating habits. Vegetarian and vegan
options will be available every day.
Depending on the school’s organization, volunteers may also have the opportunity to share some lunchtime meals with the children in the school canteen, creating additional moments of exchange and interaction.
