The Bukas Palad Cebu Garden Re-invigoration Project is GIED’s effort in providing support to BPCFI as one of its Local Partner Institution (LPI) greatly affected by super typhoon Tino in November 2025. This initiative will focus on the restoration and revitalization of their community garden after it was devastated by the aftermath of the said typhoon.
The garden serves as a peaceful and nurturing space of their community, through this workcamp, volunteers will come together in the spirit of “bayanihan” to clean debris, repair damaged areas, prepare the soil and make nursery for seedlings to be planted and revive the space. Beyond the physical restoration, the project symbolizes hope, resilience, and community solidarity. By lending our time and effort, we aim to rebuild the garden on a regular basis and continue to invite more volunteers to help restore a safe and welcoming environment for the beneficiaries and community of BPCFI. Together, we turn the aftermath of disaster into an opportunity for renewal, growth, and meaningful service.
