FERRARA IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE

Project Description

The camp will take place in Casa IBO, the national headquarter of the associazione IBO Italia in Ferrara, to develope the knowledge and usage of the English language in an international context and in a particular and fun way. The experience will be an all-round training to give to young Italian and international teens the possibility to live a group experience, guided by 2 camp leaders, in which they will take care of the common spaces from cleaning together to preparing their own meals. The goal is to develope and reinforce the English skills in a dynamic and fun way, looking ahead to later international experiences abroad, but without leaving out the relational aspect and the development of teens’ autonomy. During the camp, 15 hours of frontal lesson will be held by a teacher and during the whole experience the participants will be encouraged to communicate with themselves using English.

ACTIVITIES

The typical day will have the following general schedule:

8.00-9.00 breakfast

9.00-12.00 English lesson

12.00-13.00 lunch preparation and general cleaning

13.00-14.00 lunch

14.00-15.00 Tidying up and free time

15.00-18.00 activity/guided visits/trip in English

18.00-20.00 showers and dinner preparation

20.00-21.00 dinner

21.00-23.00 evening activities

Accomodation and food

At Casa IBO in via Boschetto 1 – Ferrara.  There are 2 dormitories with bunk beds, shared bathrooms, kitchen for independent meal preparation.

EXTRA FREE 

500€ , including the accommodation and food, transport and travel tickets, camp leader and English teacher contribution.

REQUESTED: A basic knowledge of the English language (A2/B2) is requested.

FREE TIME

Visit to the city of Ferrara and a trip to a city nearby.

TRAVEL:

From Bologna airport you can reach the Ferrara train station.

MEETING POINT:

At the Ferrara train station at 16:00. Or at the field office at Casa IBO in Via Boschetto, 1 Ferrara at 17:00.
