Joeuf, birthplace of the famous Michel Platini, is a city rich in history, located near the ancient and vibrant city of Metz. Its unique feature? It has a strong sports culture, uniting the local residents, and is well-known for its presence in national sports leagues. It’s an ideal place for nature lovers, those interested in intercultural exchanges, and people who enjoy staying active. The town has been welcoming international volunteers every summer for many years. The philosophy of the project is to bring together the residents of Joeuf and young people from around the world, allowing them to share their cultures and build connections. The theme of the project is simply friendship! Friendship between humans, between cultures, and between humans and nature— a value that is important to nurture.
Mission
This project offers the opportunity to meet young residents of Joeuf, who will join the group during the day for the work and activities. Since the beginning of the project, the town has aimed to highlight international solidarity through useful work for the local community, along with organising festive moments. In the mornings, the group focuses on the project tasks: Together, the group organises a celebration for the town’s residents! Music, decoration, food, activities... it’s up to you to decide! Help shape the new look of the town’s neighborhoods! Painting, DIY projects, gardening... many projects await you! In the afternoons, the town arranges a schedule of activities centered around sports and culture: unique workshops, local discoveries, hikes, games...
Daily life
Beyond the working hours, volunteers come together to organise daily life on the camp. Often divided into teams, they plan menus, help with the shopping, prepare meals, and ensure the cleanliness of shared spaces. Fully involved in shaping your experience, you will also take part in decisionmaking regarding group activities and daily organization!

Volunteers will camp in the park, in individual tents. Nearby, a wooden structure called the "Bal Parquet" will serve as a gathering place to complement the campsite. Finally, an apartment with a living room, a kitchen, toilets, and two bathrooms will be available.
