Work:

Volunteers have to interact with the community and local youth people to:-Survey of points of interest in the Parish of Castelo Bom Aldeia de S. SebastiEpoundo-Photographic record of the main points of interest identified by their selfs and nominated by residents-Search the parish council archive about the history of the historic village-Preparation of an explanatory document in several languages about the identified locations-Presentation of the document prepared at the Parish Assembly and final evaluation of the projectAt the end, volunteers will learn more about a historic village located in the interior of Portugal, close to the border with Spain

Accomodation and food

Accommodation at Bungalows with 5 or 6 volunteers ( with internet and bed/bath linen, Kitchenette;The food is prepared by the volunteers, who will have everything available in their bungalows. Take a look ate the bungalows in our website - https://www.adcsaldeia.com

Location and leisure

Aldeia de S. SebastiEpoundo is a small village, with 80 inhabitants near the border between Portugal and Spain. The village has no shopping, restaurants or cafes, but in summer the Association bar is open to the public. Castelo Bom is a small and historic village with great view of CEa River located in the interior of Portugal, surrounded by other historic villages. The closest city is Guarda, which is the district capital (40km). The work camp is located in a historic and rural area, quiet and far from big cities, providing moments of leisure and rest for volunteers.
