Work:

TasksDesign and build toys, board games, and interactive educational resources using recycled materials.Paint and decorate the materials collaboratively with children from the community.Organize and lead activities where the created resources will be tested with children.Participate in sustainability awareness initiatives and cultural exchange activities.

Accomodation and food

Volunteers will stay in shared accommodations provided by AssociaEEpoundo SEJovem das Saibreiras, equipped with hygiene facilities, sleeping areas, and common spaces. Three meals per day will be provided, including local and vegetarian options. Internet and laundry facilities will be available

Location and leisure

Ermesinde is an urban area near Porto, known for its community spirit and proximity to cultural landmarks. The location is accessible and offers various facilities, ensuring a comfortable and engaging experience for volunteers

Project hosted by

The Get to Work: Create to Play workcamp will bring together 12 volunteers in Ermesinde to create large-scale board games, toys, and educational materials using recycled materials. The project focuses on sustainability, cultural exchange, and providing resources for local children supported by SEjovem. Volunteers will work in teams to design and construct the materials while interacting with the children and community members
