Creating the Heart of the Village - Sauldorf

PROJECT: Join the first international volunteering project in Sauldorf to support the completion and maintenance of the village multigenerational square. This site is a central meeting point designed to connect the historic village center with new residential developments. Local volunteers and associations have worked closely with the municipality to create this space for all generations. Maintaining such an extensive facility requires ongoing community effort. Your support is needed for the upkeep of the grounds and to help the village prepare for a major local event.
WORK: Help the local community maintain and renovate their multigenerational leisure area, a place where people from all generations come together to exchange and have fun. This includes maintaining play equipment, restoring sports facilities such as the beach volleyball court, and helping with landscape care in public green spaces. You will be painting, shoveling, mowing, and performing minor construction tasks like repairing benches. During the second week, a large portion of the work will involve supporting the logistics and setup for the Sport und Spiel festival. Local community workers and volunteers will supervise the work.
LOCATION: Sauldorf is located in the Upper Swabia region between the Danube valley and Lake Constance. It is a rural community with a strong focus on nature and active village life. The village has a supermarket and local shops for daily needs. A notable feature of the area is the Sauldorfer Baggerseen bird sanctuary, a protected nature reserve with trails for walking and a variety of rare bird species.
