“The United Nations has proclaimed 2026 as the International Year of Volunteers for Sustainable Development (IVY 2026), to recognize the essential role of volunteers in achieving the 2030 Agenda. The year focuses on strengthening volunteerism, fostering inclusive policies, and ensuring, that volunteer contributions are valued and measured.”
To highlight the IVY 2026, this project will initiate the IVS Innovation Simulation Competition demonstrating the four key principles of youth work (participation, empowerment, education and inclusion), the efficacy of non-formal learning, and how this adds value to school-based education, etc. It will set an example of youth advocacy on sustainability issues (SDGs), create exceptional opportunities for knowledge-sharing and intercultural learning. Mutual benefit between all partners is a fundamental principle of our approach.
Form into groups and develop concepts/ideas in a clear and concise way highlighting volunteerism’s contribution to sustainable development goals, etc.
Identify/target stakeholder/decision maker who would seriously consider your ideas forward
Make a creative and fun presentation to pitch your concepts and get mentors to help concretize your ideas, possibly get start-up recommendations and or lobbying support,etc
Capacity building, team-building, cultural exchange, dynamic youth engagement
Accommodation and food
All meals will be cooked by volunteers in turn. Local ingredients will be provided.
Participants may stay in a dormitory/hostel type accommodation with complete amenities due to intensity of the program (to be confirmed)
Location and leisure
Team building and group dynamic activities to build friendship and camaraderie
Nature walk, meditation, mind and body wellness, etc.
Requirements
Positive attitude and strong motivation to work hard and build relationship with local community.

Fees
300 Euros to be paid via WISE/Bank transfer at maximum 30 days before the start of the camp (inclusive of Local return transfer to camp site, food and accommodation, materials, coordination and admin fees) (to be confirmed-dependent on venue, etc.)
