International volunteers are invited to improve the grounds of the center. Tasks are likely to include construction, gardening, maintenance and renovation work. Last year, work was carried out on the bathhouse and the mini golf course. In addition, some fences were replaced. The work will fall into this category, for example. Other environmental and construction works are possible.
Please be aware that you will not work with children!
Accomodation and food
ACCOMMODATION
You will live in small bungalows. Bed linen will be provided. The sanitary track with showers and WC is situated not far from the bungalows. Nearby the bungalows is a meeting room, where the volunteers can meet and relax in the evening.
FOOD
All meals will be provided in the center. The catering is well organized, with set mealtimes for the different groups of guests accommodated at the same time. Furthermore, you should be aware that the center provides food covering the needs of children.
There is the possibility of an international evening. Please bring spices from your region if you want to prepare something.
Location and leisure
The recreation center offers many different activities for your free time. Possible group activities include:
- Playing table tennis, volleyball, football, mini-golf, canoeing, boating or swimming.
- You can rent more sport- and playing-equipment.
Together with the camp guides and the volunteers, it might also be possible to organize events like a barbecue or a campfire. Please be aware that you can only visit Berlin or Potsdam on the days we decide on together, not in the evening or night after work.
