Brief description and main aims

Their basic idea is “good for 3.” “3” means children, parents and Kusunoki staff. Educational facility have to be good environment for everyone. They respect some traditional ideas for children, for example “Children who sleep well grow well.”

They also think intercultural understanding is important for children, so the volunteer take important part in their intercultural learning to introduce their own culture and languages as well as taking care of children.

Also, they want the children to have an understanding for nature, many activities are related to nature and natural food. The school provides organic snacks and lunch, ingredients are picked or corrected by hand of children from their activities.

Main Activities

Taking care of the children, creating educational field for children and parents.

Volunteer tasks

• Assist with taking care of children from less than 1 year to 6 years old, taking them to the park, preparing snacks, reading picture books and so on
• Teaching English and introducing own culture
• Preparing and joining some seasonal activities (e.g. summer festival etc.)

Volunteer requirements / Skills

The volunteer shall like children, be friendly and open-minded, eager to learn, as well as respect and share the life as a member of the community.

Location

They have 3 nursery school in Asaminamiku Hiroshima, close to the station where you can get the train to get to the city area in 20 min. Its located in a relatively big city.

Hosting Situation (Board and Lodging)

Host family or accommodation at the project.

NUMBER OF VOLUNTEERS IN PROJECT: Two volunteers can participate in this project.

Pocket money: Volunteer will receive a small allowance for pocket money of 67.39 Euros/month

V.GO Membership fee: 10.000.000VND (Activated til 25/02/2027)

Participation fees (Visa support, training, accommodation and foods during stay):

• Long-term: 3.500 Euros/6 months or 5.000 Euros/12 months.
