You will help to showcase local heritage around the old railway tunnel in the village of Coly. Together with a local resident, you will clear, brush, and enhance the entrance to the tunnel, which is home to bats protected by the Conservatoire d'Espaces Naturels (Conservatory of Natural Areas). The summer will be punctuated by local events where you will be invited to participate in festivities such as night markets and village fairs. You will discover the welcoming nature of the local population and the charm of the landscapes as you organize your program of activities with the other volunteers and activity leaders.
Accomodation and food
You will be welcomed at the Coly municipal stadium. Tents for two will be provided, as well as trekking foam mattresses. Remember to bring your sleeping bag and a pillow. A covered dining area is reserved for you, with a kitchen where you can take turns preparing tasty dishes. You will prepare the menus and meals together, taking into account the season, everyone's needs, and the pleasure of sharing.

Project hosted by
On the outskirts of an imposing abbey, you will walk in the footsteps of archaeologists of the early 20th century, clearing the wall of the cloister and keeping an eye out for any little details missed at the time.
Nestled in the hollow of a green valley, the commune of Saint-Amand-de-Coly is in the heart of the Périgord Noir, an area rich in history. Made up of two former communes that have joined together, we will be working to unite these areas through our collective efforts. The abbey of Saint-Amand stands as proof of the power of the church in this area throughout the Middle Ages. For several years, we have continued to work around the abbey and its ramparts. Festivals, night markets, and village fairs will punctuate the summer. You will discover the welcoming nature of the local people and the charm of their heritage by organizing your program of activities with other volunteers and the leaders.
