The work part will mainly consist of harvesting and nature-friendly maintenance of the orchards ("Streuobstwiesen"). Excessive mowing and the use of pesticides are avoided in orchard meadows in order to promote biodiversity. However, the trees must be pruned and maintained regularly to ensure healthy growth and good fruit production. Fruit must be harvested to reduce the spread of pests and diseases and to ensure the long-term health of the trees.
There will also be smaller jobs such as chopping wood, as well as metal derusting, protection and material disposal. The aim is to impart knowledge that can be directly applied and passed on in everyday life or in your own projects.
For the planned work assignments, please bring work gloves, work shoes (safety shoes) and robust work clothes suitable for rainy weather.
