Work:

・Assisting with planting, weeding, and maintaining coffee plants
・Supporting post-harvest activities, such as sorting, drying and packaging coffee beans
・Promoting the Tuburan Coffee brand through social media and other marketing platforms.
・Assisting in organizing events such as trade fairs and exhibitions to showcase Tuburan coffee.

Location and leisure

Tuburan Coffee Farm is located in Barangay Cabancalan, Tuburan, Cebu. It is situated in a lush, agricultural region​.

The surrounding area offers attractions such as Bugasok Falls, hiking trails, and beaches. Visitors can also explore local historic churches and enjoy agro-tourism activities at the coffee farm, where they can learn about coffee production and taste freshly brewed coffee​.

Tuburan Coffee Farmers Association (TCFA) is a community-driven initiative aimed at promoting sustainable coffee farming practices while supporting local farmers in Tuburan, Cebu. Primary aim is to promote sustainable agriculture, empower local farmers, boost livelihood, community development and preserve local culture and environment. The Tuburan Coffee Farm Association works with smallholder farmers to cultivate high-quality coffee, primarily the Robusta variety, which thrives in Tuburan’s climate and soil. The association provides technical support, training and access to modern farming equipment to improve farming practices.
Additionally, TCFA focuses on building a cooperative model where farmers collectively manage resources and share the benefits of increased productivity and access to larger markets. The project emphasizes creating a sustainable value chain that includes production, processing and marketing.

Directions to meeting point

Directions to GIED Office Causing Feria Building, Osmeña Blvd, Cebu City By Taxi or Ride-Hailing Service (Approx. 30-45 minutes): Upon exiting the airport, proceed to the taxi or ride-hailing service area. Inform the driver to take you to Causing Feria Building, Osmeña Blvd, Cebu City. Depending on traffic, the driver will usually take either the Marcelo Fernan Bridge or the Mactan-Mandaue Bridge. The GIED office is located near Robinsons Fuente, beside the Shell Gas Station, and across the YMCA. By Public Transport (Approx. 1-1.5 hours): From the airport, board a jeepney or MyBus heading to SM City Cebu. At SM City Cebu, transfer to a jeepney going to Fuente Osmeña or Osmeña Blvd. Ask the driver to drop you near the Causing Feria Building, located beside the Shell Gas Station and across the YMCA, close to Robinsons Fuente.
