Volunteers will participate in the Feast of Na Tcha parade as part of the parade team. The workcamp includes a Cantonese workshop, a Macao World Heritage lecture, and a Chinese paper cutting workshop. Volunteers will also help in the preparation of a roadshow for the Feast of Na Tcha. Accommodation and food:
Accommodation will be provided at either Pousada de Juventude de Cheoc Van or Base de Desenvolvimento de Actividades Juvenis em Hác-Sá. The participation fee includes basic meals (three meals a day from June 9 to June 14). Participants will have the opportunity to sample a variety of local cuisines, including Macanese and Chinese food.
Location and leisure:
The project takes place in Macao, a city with a blend of Portuguese and Chinese heritage. Macao is a small city located on the south coast of China. The Historic Centre of Macao is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Leisure activities include a World Heritage tour and free time.
Project hosted by:
The project is hosted by the Macao New Chinese Youth Association (MNCYA). MNCYA is a non-profit youth organization founded in 2003. MNCYA aims to unite Macao youth, serve the society, and has established an international voluntary service network. MNCYA has been organizing the Macao International Volunteer Camp and is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Volunteer Program and the UNESCO Coordinating Committee for International Voluntary Service (CCIVS).
Directions to meeting point:
A pick-up service will be arranged from (Macao International Airport/Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge-Macao Port (HZMB-Macao Port)/Macao Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal) to the accommodation. Meeting point details and time will be announced later.

The Feast of Na Tcha is a significant cultural event in Macao, featuring a parade and rituals. Na-Tcha is a Taoist child god who is believed to protect people from evils. The official languages of Macao are Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin) and Portuguese. The currency of Macao is Pataca (MOP), and Hong Kong Dollars are also commonly accepted.
