The not for profit organization runs an energy infotainment site called “Klimapark” for visitors such as school classes and tourists and also offers vocational trainings on solar energy and earth construction, among others. The volunteer camp shall help to maintain and improve the attraction of the Klimapark but also complete the building of a straw bale house with green roof and a small solar.
Type of Work: Maintenance works in the energy infotainment park are carried out, but also a special project: a recently built straw bale house shall receive a green roof and a solar installation to be used by visiting groups. A geological path with pre-cambrian and other old stones shall be paved in the Klimapark.
Study Theme: Climate change and conflicts over fossile energy control. Use of renewable energy sources.
Accommodation: Living very simply in tents with solar shower and compost toilets, self organized cooking within the camp group.
Requirements: Good English skills are necessary. Proactive attitude and self organization.
A big plus: speaking German (but not necessary). Interest in climate change and the use of renewable energy sources.
