During the Workcamp participants will perform the following tasks: Learn 6 methods/techniques to control invasive species (Strike/Herbicide injection, pulling, peeling, mowing, mowing application of herbicides and natural control);Apply the most appropriate control techniques to the 4 species selected in the municipality of Fornos de Algodres;Prepare publicity/awareness-raising materials about the advantages/importance of controlling and managing invasive species with a view to environmental sustainability;Raise awareness among the population of the importance of environmental sustainability;Remove rubbish improperly deposited in intervention spaces.
Accomodation and food
The participants will stay at Hostel EntryFik.The participants will sleep in dormitories divided per gender. In the Hostel, we will have a team that clean the accommodation and cook the meals. All special food requirements will be respected if theres prior information sent to the participants. We will have 5 meals a day (breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner and supper).There is free wi-fi

Control and management of invasive species 2.0 aims to promote environmental education and reflect/raise awareness about the importance of preserving the environment, the impact of invasive species on ecosystems, the importance of controlling and managing invasive species and sustainable growth, through initiative to control and manage 5 invasive species in the municipality of Fornos de Algodres.As for leisure activities, we will have visits (to the museum, library, river beach, social solidarity institutions), intercultural evenings, sports activities, traditional games, parties, swimming pool, cultural activities, ect.During the morning and beginning the afternoon the participants do their voluntering work, during afternoon and night the participants will have the leisure activities
