Work:

The main work will be in different natural areas of the park for cleaning and maintenance in collaboration with expert volunteers and park staff.
Some days will be dedicated to helping different local organizations in everiday activities in environmental and farming projects.
The participants will be involved with local volunteers in the organization of a food festival during the weekend that will take place in the camp site.
Volunteers will be involved in working or studies activities for about 30 hours per week.

Accommodation and food

We’ll sleep in a common room in a guesthouse with bunk bed, we’ll clean and prepare food together.
Food will be vegetarian and based on local, organic farming and fair trade products.

Location and leisure

The Park overlooks the hills of the Province of Varese and the Po Plain. The particular geographical location and the geological features favored the presence of a various vegetation, with chestnut tree and beech tree woods, typical flora of the rocky areas, marshy and peaty zones rich in wildlife. The project’s aim is the preservation and the improvement of natural but also historical sites of the park to promote green tourism
We well spend most of the free time together visiting the lakes area

Legambiente Varese Onlus is a local group of Legambiente, that, beside giving contributions to main Legambiente national campaigns mind about the environment of the district of Varese since the eighties. Legambiente Varese coordinate 14 local groups of Legambiente volunteers and it's the connection between local, regional and national offices of the association. Thanks to this organization we can carrying out several activities such as the management of natural areas, the organization of work-camps, environmental education addressed to youngest generations and promotion of environmentally friendly lifestyles

Appointment at Varese railway station on august 3th in the afternoon:
about one our from Milano city, 30 minutes from Malpensa airport
