World Village Festival is committed to continually improving its environmental efforts. The festival strives to minimize waste and is committed to recycling. The volunteers of the festival are carrying out several different tasks. The first three days the festival area is built up. This means carrying fences and tables, setting up tents, installing signs and banners and helping with area decoration. During the festival days many volunteers are needed in the team which keeps the festival area tidy and in the recycling team which takes care that the different types of litter end in the right containers. After the festival, volunteers work with take-down work such as taking down banners, signs and decorations.
Accomodation and food
The volunteers will stay in simple shared accommodation. During the working days meals will be provided while breakfast and dinner will be prepared by the volunteers together in groups. The food will be mostly plant-based.
