Bahtera Kasih Happy Children

Description: The project will focus on two issues. Firstly, character building, & self-hygiene education. The activities will be held mostly indoor with children and local volunteers. The second is intercultural education in the orphanage. The activities will be held mostly by conducting traditional game
with the children, cooking traditional food, and handicraft class. The volunteer might also experience a school visit activity, please prepare a presentation about your culture for the junior/senior highschool students.

Work description:
 Supporting the daily manual works in the orphanage (cleaning, mopping, sweeping, collecting garbage)
 Character building activity for younger children: self hygiene,  no littering, drawing / coloring, handicraft class
 Capacity building activity for older children : culture exchange, japanese lesson, practice active English, Japanese
calligraphy
 Fun learning activity : interactive games, traditional games
 Cooking class
 School visit & culture exchange
 Learning Indonesian culture
 Learning Christian culture
 Experiencing caretaking children

Accommodation: Dormitory, Shared kitchen and bathrooms with the other residents.

Requirements: Happy to work with children, kind-hearted to taking care the younger kids

Notes: The majority who live in this village are Muslims. Feel free to bring equipment or educational materials to have fun with local children at your campsite.
