You will mainly be supporting the forest rangers in the nature reserve. Please be prepared for physical work, which may involve working in the terrain or on nature trails. Last year, in addition to forest conservation, work was also carried out on the bat educational trail.
Your work will include different activities in a natural park like weeding, helping with vaccinating sheep, collecting waste in nature or generally supporting the forest rangers of the Nature Reserve in their daily activities. And you will assist in the maintenance of the farm.
This project is for nature lovers and people who need a break from their daily routines. Please be prepared to work 5-6 hours a day. You should be aware of and prepared for a wide range of tasks and be motivated to support the forest rangers of the Nature Reserve.

Accommodation:
You will live on a campsite close by a very charming lake. Also, you will sleep in tents (2 to 4 persons per tent) on camping beds with mattresses. Please bring a sleeping bag and bed linen. In case of rainy or stormy weather the building can be used. A kitchen, sanitary facilities, a washing machine and a meeting room can be found on the campsite. Please note that there is only limited internet access, which helps to slow down the pace of life.
Food:
You will prepare their own meals. It would be great if you could bring some recipes and special ingredients such as spices from your home country for some culinary exchange.
Location and leisure
Leisure Time:
There are a lot of opportunities to discover the countryside on foot, bike or boat. You will have the chance to visit bigger towns, such as Rostock and Schwerin, and to do some trips to the Baltic Sea. The free time activities will mainly depend on your ideas.
The area is covered with beautiful lakes which invite you to take a swim. If you are interested, you can book guided tours through the forest as well as guided tours about regional endangered animals.
