Work description

During this workcamp, you will have the opportunity to take part in various activities. You will be immersed in the local environment by working on the trail of the municipality s food forest in order to improve accessibility and help hikers find their way more easily.Finally, you will take part in meetings and activities with different local groups: children, elderly people, and local associations. Four local young people will join the team both for the work and for community life. They will share their culture with you while helping you discover their town. You will be supervised by municipal staff who will share their know-how and will be happy to introduce you to the municipality. You will work approximately 5 hours per day, in the morning, from Monday to Friday.

Accommodation

You ll be housed in the elementary school in the center of the town. You ll have access to sanitary facilities, a kitchen area, several sleeping areas and the schoolyard. Each volunteer will be expected to take an active part in the group s collective life: preparing meals, washing up, cleaning toilets and premises.

Location and leisure

Saint-Jean-Bonnefonds is ideally located for visiting the cities of Saint-Etienne and Lyon. Nature lovers can also enjoy the hiking trails around the commune. Local volunteers are always on hand to offer suggestions for activities and leisure pursuits. You ll also be able to take advantage of the July 14th festivities, which will be a great opportunity to meet the locals. Requirements

This workcamp is aimed at volunteers who want to explore their creativity and organize an event. Of course, the workcamp is open to everyone, whatever their profile: all you need is motivation to contribute to this great project. In the context of group life, qualities such as listening, respect, tolerance and open-mindedness are required.
