We will build a traditional oven and a functional potter's wheel. Activities will include preparing the site, selecting and placing stones for the base, selecting osier branches and learning basket-making techniques, creating a vault with clay and branches, finishing with an insulating coating, and building a roof to cover the oven. In addition, we'll build a traditional potter's wheel using recycled materials, assembling its structure and adjusting the rotation system. A project where tradition and innovation meet!
Accomodation and food
You will be accommodated in various shared sleeping rooms for 4 to 8 people at Château du Créneau. Wi-Fi is not available on site. Food will be provided and prepared in the château kitchen by you and other participants in groups, with the support of the kitchen supervisors.
Location and leisure
Afternoon and weekend activities are organized collectively by the whole group. Are you more of a city person? The towns of Vichy and Moulins are just forty kilometers away! Looking more for a country stroll? Feel free to explore the surrounding area on foot or by bicycle, discovering the landscape, heritage and local craftsmen, taking a swim, or enjoying sports and leisure activities and outings.

Join us as we build an artisan oven and a traditional potter’s wheel using recycled materials (stone, branches and clay). It's a project that's all about sharing and conviviality.
