The volunteers will have tasks that help increase biodiversity in the areas surrounding Lastu and other sites nearby. This will be achieved by building living fences, building pens and shelters for sheep, and creating works of art from living materials. The volunteers will also be creating moss graffiti and seed bombs. They will help the host with sustainable renovation of buildings and also try out textile repair and patching by sewing durable bags. The volunteers can delve into traditional skills such as carpet weaving and spinning in workshops during a local one day family event called Vasikkasavut.
Accomodation and food
The accommodation is organized indoors as communal living in a summer house or classrooms with access to bathrooms. If you want, you can also sleep in a tent. The volunteers have access to the kitchen and they will cook meals together.
