Brief description and main aims

To be a model therapeutic environment with people with intellectual disabilities, emphasizing empowerment, interdependence, and mutual respect of all community members.

Main Activities

Support in the daily of residents with disabilities from breakfast to evening activities, assisting with admin as needed, facilitating special workshops and more.

Volunteer tasks

The volunteer serves as a residential caregiver to a small groups of residents:
Facilitates in therapeutic workstations
Oversees the upkeep and maintenance of the house in which they live, including budget
Completes written report and participates in other community activities and events

21 years of age
TB tested

Location

The project is located in Crozet, Virginia in a small rural community, near the small city of Charlottesville. We participate in community/regional events throughout the year, as well as selling Innisfree made goods to local businesses year round.

Hosting Situation (Board and Lodging)

Volunteer caregiver lives in one of the village houses. They are provided room and board. Ask for a job information sheet for more details about other benefits and incentives.

Pocket money: Volunteer will receive a small allowance for pocket money of 100 Euros/month

V.GO Membership fee: 10.000.000VND (Activated til 16/02/2027)

Participation fees (Visa support, training, accommodation and foods during stay):

• Long-term: 3.250 Euros/6 months or 4.500 Euros/12 months.
