Do you love heritage and nature and want to help out? Come and help to enhance a communal path in Cesseras that leads to an old dolmen.
You'll also have the chance to work on a dry-stone wall that has collapsed beside a path. As you continue your walk, you will come across a very old chapel, of which only the foundations remain. You can carry out some maintenance work to enhance it.
The municipality is keen to maintain its footpaths for the enjoyment of walkers. Discover the rich heritage of the municipality and the surrounding area. Your job will be to enhance the site by carrying out minor landscaping work and clearing undergrowth.
This work is essential to maintain the path while allowing visitors, walkers and the curious from all walks of life to come and discover this small heritage site!
Accomodation and food
The accommodation will be at the local gite. Sleeping in a dormitory and communal living in a municipal room provided for the group. You will share in the various collective tasks and prepare meals together. A budget will be allocated to the leaders and you will help with the shopping and meal preparation, giving priority to healthy, local produce.
Location and leisure
Cesseras is a small village of 430 inhabitants located in the south-west of the Hérault department in the south of France. Benefiting from a Mediterranean climate and a remarkable natural environment, the site of the village of Cesseras has been frequented for thousands of years. This is evidenced by the 6,000-year-old footprints and cave paintings discovered in the famous Coquille cave (Aldène cave), and the Cigalière dolmen on the Causse. If you're a nature and heritage lover, you can stroll among the vines to the sound of the cicadas, take part in outdoor activities, go to the river or explore the surrounding area. From Minerve to Olargues, classified as the most beautiful villages in France, the Minervois villages will delight you with their unusual charm and emblematic character.
You can also make cultural discoveries and share festive moments with the locals.
