The memory of paths – Cause de Clerans

Work:

You will take part in various maintenance and restoration works on the communal paths linking several hamlets of Cause-de-Clérans: clearing vegetation, cleaning pathways, small landscaping works, securing passages, maintaining surrounding areas and enhancing the natural rural heritage. This collective work will help reopen some paths that are currently difficult to access and encourage walking and the discovery of the territory once again.
Activities will include learning moments about the techniques used, collective organisation of the workcamp, and awareness raising about the environment and rural heritage.

Accomodation and food

You will be accommodated in Cause-de-Clérans, in collective accommodation in the heart of the Périgord countryside. Meals will be prepared together on a rotating basis, in a spirit of collective living and intercultural sharing. Menus will be planned together while taking into account everyone’s needs, local and seasonal products, and the pleasure of cooking together. Don’t hesitate to bring recipes from your country to share with the group!

Location and leisure

Location: Cause-de-Clérans 24150, Dordogne, Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, France. Near Bergerac, in the heart of the Périgord Pourpre area.

Leisure: During your stay, you will have the opportunity to discover the Dordogne landscapes, participate in local events, meet local inhabitants, and organise cultural, sportive and convivial activities together with the other volunteers and leaders.

Nearest train station:
Reception on the arrival day in the late afternoon at Lalinde train station.
Nearest airport:
Bordeaux-Mérignac Airport or Bergerac Dordogne Périgord Airport.

Meeting point:
The meeting point is Bergerac train station. You should arrive there on 31/08 between 6pm and 8pm.
From Bordeaux airport, it takes around 2 to 3 hours by train to reach Lalinde. If you arrive the day before, you will need to arrange your own accommodation.
Departure is on the last day between 9am and 12pm maximum.
